Cape Flattery

Today we did one of our little "end of the road" drives as we headed west from Port Angeles - destination, Cape Flattery, the northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States. After parking the van we had a nice 1 mile hike on the Cape Flattery Trail and were rewarded with a great view.

On the way a quick stop to view Crescent Lake

Another view - in the distance is Vancouver Island, we were almost directly across from the campground we stayed at four nights ago while on the island.

After a nice day we were getting settled in at the campground in Forks and heard some familiar music - looked outside and saw the "kids" gathering around, guess what . . . . . the ice cream truck - so, of course, we just had to join the crowd. Good stuff!

  1. Now Steve, being the car man you are should have realized that was an ice cream Jeep not an ice cream truck.

    1. It doesn't make any difference what kind of vehicle it is. If it has ice cream, Don and Steve will be there. LoL
