Loreto, Baja California Sur

Loreto was the first Spanish colonial settlement on the Baja California Peninsula, founded in 1697, it's also the largest Baja city we've visited at over 16,000 people. Yesterday afternoon and today we wandered around Loreto's historic center, did a little shopping and tried a couple of restaurants (very good), visited a small museum, and also managed to find two ice cream shops. We're "camped" in a RV park - not nearly as bajaish as Playa Escondido, but it's convenient, has wifi, and hot showers - all pluses.
