Had A Visitor

Funny who you run into when you're out and about. Beside Don dropping in for a visit I also had a chance to visit with Carolyn and Roger and exchange tours of our Promaster's (they were on the back from Nova Scotia).

After Don arrived we took a little drive to Warren, NH for dinner and fireworks! The previous day, I was out doing my backroad thing, when I happened upon a bunch of cars parked on the side of the road - something must be happening so I stop to check things out. I had stumbled upon a gathering of the New Hampshire Pyrotechnic Association (fireworks) - these folks make their own fireworks (it's like a model aircraft club, only they like to blow things up) and they were launching their DIY stuff (along with commercial pyrotechnics) from atop a earthen dam just outside Warren. After talking with some of the folks I learn that the next day they would be doing training/testing and a grand finale display to thank the town's residents for putting up with the noise. So Don and I set off to see this free display (not expecting much) and were floored the the length and quality of the show - one of the best displays I've ever seen. Plus, we had experts explaining what was going on. Great evening, all because I was out "taking the long way".

  1. Enjoyed the visit, wish the weather had been better and we could have traveled further NE. The firework pictures turned out good.
